Global Climate Strike: We're pulling down the shutters and taking to the streets

Published September 10, 2019

We are in a climate crisis and action is long overdue. That’s why we want to send a message and make a noise with thousands of others, and demonstrate for (political) change. As you know, this is not the first time we’re doing this, as we’re big fans of the Fridays for Future initiative. Just a few weeks ago Inas spoke as a representative of the Entrepreneurs for Future at a demo here in Hamburg in front of thousands of activists.

But on Friday, the 20.09. it’ll be louder, bigger, better, for the Global Climate Strike. And hopefully more effective. For this we’re pulling down the shutters and going as a whole crew to the demo (Almost. Because the Tomorrow support will, of course, still be up and running).

So that we can put our messages and demands over in a eye-catching way, we invite you on the evening before the climate strike (Thursday, 19.09.) from 6:30 pm to make signs together in the Tomorrow headquarters at Karolinenstraße 9. Craft stuff for colourful and wild demo posters will be provided. If you still have glitter or stickers from the last festival at home, do bring it along. We’ll chill the beers and soda, too. And our friends from the Frischepost will bring along a delicious supper. Sounds good? Then press ‘accept’ here and come on over.

We look forward to meeting every single one of you who wants to make a stand against climate change. Let’s strike together for a better tomorrow. On Friday, the 20.09. we’ll get going at 11:30 clock from our HQ in the direction of Jungfernstieg.

If you’re not from Hamburg and do not know exactly how and where you can take to the streets, check out this overview page.
