Good news! From now on, you can deposit or withdraw cash in a variety of stores

From now on, you can instantly deposit cash or make withdrawals from your Tomorrow account at a whole bunch of retail stores. And it’s really easy – with the Tomorrow app. Read on to find out how it works. 

You told us you wanted to be able to deposit cash in your Tomorrow accounts. So we listened and made it possible: 

From now on you can head to the counter at thousands of partner stores across Germany and pay in or withdraw cash – whenever you need hard cash or want to deposit money into your account. All you need is your smartphone and the Tomorrow app. 

How the new cash deposit/withdrawal feature works

To deposit or withdraw cash at one of our many partner stores, all you need to do is generate a barcode in the Tomorrow app and the cashier will then scan it at the till. You don’t need to make a purchase or show your card to do this. Just follow these simple steps:

• Open the app and click on the three dots below your account balance.

• Firstly select ‘Deposit/withdraw cash’ and then ‘Withdraw cash’ or ‘Deposit cash’.

• Choose an amount between €1 (min) and €300 (max.) if you want to withdraw cash or an amount between €50 (min.) and €300 (max.) if you want to deposit cash.

• Then confirm your choice with a TAN. The transaction will then be displayed in your account.

• Your barcode will be valid for one hour. During this time, all you need to do is present it at a till in one of the participating stores. As soon as the code has been scanned and the money handed over or paid in, the withdrawal or deposit will be shown in your transaction overview. 

If you have made a mistake or decide that you don’t want to use the barcode after all, you can simply cancel the process in the app. 

Please note: For withdrawals there will be no charge, provided you still have free monthly withdrawals left. If this is not the case, the fee of €2 will be deducted from your account shortly afterwards. To make a deposit, the fees are between 1.5 and 1.75% of the amount you wish to pay in – regardless of the type of account you have. The exact fee amount will be displayed in the app.

Information: There is a limit of €1,000 per week for cash deposits and withdrawals. If the app is showing that you have reached this limit, please check to see whether you still have an unused barcode. If so, it should be deleted and a new one generated. Otherwise, you will have to wait another week until your limit is reset again.
