This winter, we are supporting two new projects together with you as part of the Quick Donation and Rounding Up features: your donations will go to children in Gaza, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine who are bracing themselves for another harsh winter. In addition, donations will go to homeless people here in Germany who also need support during the cold season. You can find out why we chose these projects and how your donations work here.
Warmth, food, medical care: Help during the coldest time of the year
The winter months with icy temperatures are here and bring with them many health risks for needy and vulnerable people, such as children in crisis and war zones, but also for homeless people in Germany. What is needed now is to secure the absolute necessities, such as a warm place to sleep, food and basic medical care, in order to survive this challenging time.
That's why you can support two organizations this winter with Tomorrow:
1. Rounding Up-Feature: A winter aid project of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V. for homeless people
2. Quick Donation-Feature: A UNICEF winter relief project for children in Gaza, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
1. The Rounding Up project with the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V.
The number of homeless people in Germany is increasing every year. Almost half a million homeless people were living in emergency accommodation in Germany at the beginning of 2024. Living without fixed housing is particularly challenging in the icy winter months.
For this reason, the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V. has launched its annual cold weather aid program to provide targeted support to vulnerable people during this time. Hot meals and drinks are distributed, as well as warm clothing and sleeping bags.
Basic medical care is also provided to make life a little easier for people during the difficult months with the lowest temperatures.
With your donations via the Rounding Up feature, you are therefore supporting mobile teams that are out on the streets, emergency shelters that offer protection from the cold, a supply of food and drink as well as access to clean clothes, warm blankets and medical assistance.

These are some examples of what can be achieved together with the Tomorrow Community:
240 euros enable the purchase of 10 warm sleeping bags.
40 euros will finance 5 warm meals.
19 euros enable the purchase of a hygiene set.
With the total donations, for example, 2,000 warm sleeping bags, 1,000 hygiene kits and over 4,000 hot meals could be distributed.
So activate Rounding Up in the Future tab of your Tomorrow app to make a big difference with your small cents. Every time you pay with your Tomorrow card, you can round up to the full euro and support projects for more climate justice and those affected by current crises. What is just a small amount of money for each individual becomes a large sum that can really make a difference. We have already been able to finance nine projects together.
2. The Quick Donation Project with UNICEF Germany
Children in Gaza, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine have to brace themselves for another dangerous winter. Their families, who are struggling to survive in crisis and war zones, often do not have the means to buy warm winter clothes.Sometimes they lack even the most basic necessities, such as enough food to survive.
This is why the UN Children's Fund UNICEF provides targeted help for children in emergency situations during the cold season by providing them with urgently needed food and warm clothing or cash aid for fuel to keep them warm at home.
With your donations via the Quick Donation Feature, you can therefore support, among other things, the provision of protein-rich food for severely malnourished children and the supply of children with warm blankets and winter clothing, which are so urgently needed right now. They can also be used to help needy families with heating costs, for example for firewood.

These are the concrete goals that can be achieved together with the Tomorrow Community:
5 euros enable the purchase of a warm blanket
24 euros will fund around 100 packets of protein-rich cookies, which contain essential nutrients and help severely malnourished children survive the harsh winter and recover.
57 euros can provide a child with a set of warm winter clothes, including a jacket, shoes, a sweater, woollen socks and a hat.
With 30,000 euros, for example, around 520 children in Afghanistan could be provided with winter packages, including warm clothing and blankets.
With 50,000 euros, 50 families in Ukraine could cover critical costs for heating and warm clothing.
With 100,000 euros, 20,000 blankets could be financed, which are essential for children and their families in Syria so that they can withstand the freezing temperatures in the emergency shelters.
